Snopp Dogg claims he can’t be canceled.
We often see celebrities becomes the target of the cancel culture in today’s generation over some controversial statements or something they did in the past. We’ve seen this situation with artists like DaBaby and Tory Lanez recently. Snoop Dogg was the guest on Druski’s Behind The Vest show for a conversation, where the Def Jam Recordings executive was asked about his opinion on the cancel culture.
“I wish a motherf**ka would try to cancel me,” he responded. “‘Cause you see DaBaby, you see David Chappelle … If you don’t get out of here with that sh*t. Gimme a week ni**a, I’ll be back up… You gotta believe it. You gotta know that your base is your base. The cancel community is not bigger than my fan base. Let’s match up, ni**a… Cancel community meet up. Line up. Cancel community, I need you ni**as to line up.”
Snoop has had a few near-cancellations, including the inflammatory words he made about Gayle King after she came out about Kobe Bryant’s rape accusation following his terrible death. In a February 2020 Instagram post, the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper referred to King as a “dog-head bi***ch” and warned her to be careful “before we come get you.”
The Long Beach legend is all set to feature on the historical hip-hop spectacle as he will perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 13 with Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar.
