Royce da 5’9″ shares a new beat for Eminem. Is “Bad Meets Evil 2” coming?
After sharing an unusual post to his Instagram account, Royce Da 5’9 has the internet buzzing. The renowned Slaughterhouse MC shared a little sample of some new music he’s supposedly working on Sunday night (May 10). Last month, Royce da 5’9″ revealed that he’s making new beats for Eminem to send and everyone assumed they are probably for a follow-up ‘Bad Meets Evil‘ project. A few days after that, Royce did a new interview with XXL where he said that he’s ready to make another Bad Meets Evil album whenever Eminem is ready.
Eminem’s moniker alone sparked conjecture that he was alluding to Bad Meets Evil 2, the highly anticipated follow-up to the duo’s debut EP, Hell: The Sequel, which was released in 2011. After each comment, someone asked if Bad Meets Evil 2 would be released sooner rather than later.
Royce disclosed to host KXNG Crooked in a May 2019 episode of the HipHopDX video series “Crook’s Corner” that he and Em have a few tracks locked and loaded. “We got a couple of songs in the vault, that we messed with, like awhile ago, but it ain’t been like an opportunity for us to go in and do nothing with each other,” he explained. “Like, I see him on the road, and I got my own studio now so I’m not in his studio as much as I used to be.”
“He always working, it would literally just be for him to call, and be like, ‘Yo, let’s do this shit.’ I’d make time, ’cause I have so much fun doing it. It’s easy, it’s not a lot of work, it’s one of those fun challenges.”
Now he shared some more beats where he used the newsreel of the recent Eminem home intruder incident. In the caption, he also said that he and Dre know Eminem better than anyone creatively. “NOBODY else besides Dre understands Em creatively like myself…” Check out the beat below.
