Roddy Ricch deactivates his Social Media after backlash from fans for his new snippet.
Roddy Ricch kicked off his career with the success of his first major debut studio album “Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial” in 2019. The project was laced with the hit single “The Box” which received RIAA Diamond certification in December and made him a part of the elite list of rapper that has a solo Diamond single credited to their name. However, the rapper didn’t quite live up to the fans expectation with his second and most recent project “Live Life Fast“.
The Compton rapper now decided to give fans some more new material as he previewed some new music on his social media. But, he didn’t receive the reactions as he was expected, as fan clowned him with trash and mid comments for a snippet of a new track titled “Out My Mind”. After the harsh comments, the 23-year-old left his social media platforms, after putting “Guess I’m a flop now [Peace Emoji] Sh*t Crazy,” in his story.
“Yall aint gonna do my boy Roddy Ricch like yall did Chance the Rapper.. yall know he aint mid.. he just took too long to drop… if he dropped more frequently the good sh*t would rise to the top.. but anticipation followed by a ‘cool’ effort made us feel like WTF did we wait 4,” wrote DJ Akademiks.
Roddy had earlier noted that he has great plans for 2022, which included the release of his highly awaited mixtape Feed Tha Streets III. The album was supposed to be his first full-length release since Live Life Fast last year.
Check out some of the reactions below.
I honestly don’t blame Roddy Ricch for getting off Twitter and Instagram
He put out a solid project that took years to make and every move he made, people would tell him his project was mid or trash
Stop harassing artists fam, if you don’t like a project, cool, just move on pic.twitter.com/RyBVpHme0M
