Gunna made his return to music with a new surprise album “A Gift & A Curse” last week, and the projected first-week numbers are here. According to HDD, the rapper is expected to earn a top 5 debut with his latest project.
Gunna’s new album is projected to move 78,000 equivalent units in the first week. Morgan Wallen will continue his domination on top of the charts with expected sales of 107k this week.

The new Gunna album contains 15 tracks with no guest appearances. The solo tracks include “Back At It”, “Back To The Moon”, “Paybach”, “Rodeo Dr”, “Born Rich”, “Turned Your Back” and more.
A Gift & A Curse did better than the projected sales, as it debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart, earning 85,000 album-equivalent units (including 1,000 in pure album sales) in its first week. The album also received the Gold certification status after moving over 500k equivalent units.

This is his fourth studio effort and follows up last year’s “DS4Ever” which debuted at the top of Billboard 200 with 150,000 album-equivalent units. Gunna’s previous album featured appearances from Future, 21 Savage, Young Thug, Drake, Kodak Black, G Herbo, Lil Baby and more.
Gunna’s second studio album “Wunna” also debuted at #1 on Billboard 200 in 2020. The project moved 111,000 album-equivalent units, (of which 4,000 were in pure album sales) in its first week. It featured guest appearances from Lil Baby, Young Thug, Roddy Ricch, Travis Scott, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, NAV and more.
A Gift & A Curse’s project’s lead single “Fukumean” has already earned Platinum status in the US. It also earned Gold in Australia, Platinum in Canada, Gold in New Zealand, and Silver in the United Kingdom. It debuted at number 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at #1 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
