Nicki Minaj, Russ, Cardi B and more react to the tragic death of PnB Rock.
PnB Rock, the Philadelphia artist has been shot and killed at the age of 30. The rapper was having dinner at Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles with his girlfriend Stephanie Sibounheuang, who reportedly geotagged the location in a since-deleted IG Story. After being shot, the rapper was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:59 p.m.
“The victim was sitting at a table eating with a female witness when he was approached by the suspect,” Los Angeles Police Capt. Kelly Muniz says, without naming PnB Rock. “The suspect then brandished a firearm and demanded his property. The suspect then fired multiple rounds and then appears to remove some property, to what extent we don’t know at this time.”

Earlier in the day, Rock’s girlfriend Stephanie Sibounheuang shared a picture of their meal at Roscoe’s on her Instagram Stories, which was later deleted but captured and reported by TMZ. A graphic video, claimed to show the rapper lying on the ground after the shooting, was also circulated on Twitter.

PnB Rock quickly established himself in the industry with his distinctive chorus rap songs. His most well-known song, though, was the 2016 anthem “Everyday We Lit,” which featured YFN Lucci. The song became the highest-charting single for both singers when it climbed at No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100. Rock just released his newest single, “Luv Me Again,” earlier this month while preparing to release another project.
The hip-Hop fraternity now took to social media to pay homage to the deceased rap artist. “I highly doubt nikkas was looking at PMB’s babymom IG,” tweeted Cardi B. “He was in a bad location and people stay outside plotting. It’s very irresponsible and inconsiderate to blame her for something so tragic. We should be sending nothing but love to her and his family at this time.”
Fat Joe Says He’s Not Against Robbing PnB Rock, But They Shouldn’t Have Killed Him
“After Pop Smoke there’s no way we as rappers or our loved ones are still posting locations to our whereabouts. To show waffles & some fried chicken????! He was such a pleasure to work with. Condolences to his mom & family. This makes me feel so sick,” wrote Nicki Minaj. “Love you broski you was a real friend I’ll never forget you,” shares Tee Grizzley with some pictures and clips with PnB Rock.
In September 2022, the LAPD confirmed that an unnamed 17-year-old juvenile had been arrested in connection to the murder of the rapper, and a 32-year-old woman, Shauntel Trone, had been arrested for accessory to murder, and the following day the 17-year-old’s father Freddie Trone also arrested as the third suspect.
Damn man. RIP PNB Rock. So sad

I’m so disgusted over PNB Rock’s murder. I’m so sick of tweets about this stuff and prayer hand emojis. Our country is truly sick. We need help. I’m not sure if the American experiment is working.

R.I.P. PnB Rock. No matter how many times the headline repeats itself with a different name, it’s always a sickening feeling. His two little girls lives are fractured forever. And for what? It’s nothing honorable in robbing children of their innocence all in the name of a lick. pic.twitter.com/odd2EwdR75
