Eminem’s SNL Cameo came together really quickly.
Eminem recently made a surprise appearance in a new SNL Christmas Skit over his iconic ‘Stan‘, along with Pete Davidson who played the character stan in the parody video. According to sources, the Eminem cameo thing came together really quickly. A source tells ET that Eminem’s appearance on SNL “came together really quickly.”
“He was approached a couple of days in advance by SNL to see if he was available and it worked out for him to do it,” the source explained.
ET also talked to the original stan, Devon Sawa about what does he think about the parody skit. “I don’t think I’ve smiled so much in a long time,” says Devon. “I think he nailed it. Some people don’t see some of the things that I saw. He did everything from the pencil blow to certain eyerolls. He really kind of copied me perfectly but also did his own thing and spun it his own way and I’m very flattered that I was in a music video that’s lasted so long.”
Devon Sawa continues, “Someone tweeted me, ‘Are you watching SNL right now?’ and somebody else tweeted that they were doing a ‘Stan’ parody, and my first reaction was, ‘Oh no, are they ripping it apart?’ But it’s just funny. It’s just they took the song, twisted it, and [Davidson] is a talented dude.”
