“Yeah, we coming in October but right now we just applying pressure,” Offset told Apple Music’s, Ebro Darden. “Creatively, content-wise, I’m going to just keep my rollout going. The rollout started from ‘Jealousy,’ so I’m going to just keep the rollout starting from right then. So with this album I’m definitely going to be showing way more personality, way more who Offset is, creatively. Taking to the next level.”
“This is me going full-fledged into my solo career,” he said in a recent interview with Variety. “The objective is to do it fully and smash sh-t and f–k the game up as a solo artist. I’m coming through, bustin’ through the door. It’s all set, my next chapter. It’s my time… I really wanted to drop the album like two years ago, but it wasn’t time. I had to master who I was, and I got it now.”
The Migos rapper was supposed to drop the album last November, but it got pushed back after the unfortunate death of Takeoff. At the time, he released a couple of new singles “Code” with Moneybagg Yo and the solo effort “5 4 3 2 1”. The new album will be a follow-up to his solo debut studio project “Father of 4” which was released in 2019. Last year, the trio of Migos released their album titled “Culture III“.
“I’m unhealed. I’m being honest, I lost my brother. I’m not healed — I’m not good,” he said recently about Takeoff’s death. “And this sh-t don’t help nothing. We stars so people be thinking it’s just cool but I’m a real grown man. I cry every day about this sh-t. At some point, it f–ks me up every day.”
He continued, “And then it be this type of bullsh-t on top of sh-t that be too much for me. I’m still a human being. I’m dealing through sh-t personally and people’s opinions matter nowadays. What’s on Twitter matters what’s being said. I play cool, I smile for the cameras, I do fashion week, and all this sh-t but behind the scenes I need my woman to be there for me for what I’m going through.”
