Although becoming a tight group, the Migos have all released solo albums over the years. In a 2018 interview with XXL, Offset said of their solo albums, “This s**t is just showcase. We just wanted to show the world that it can be done and you still be home team. But the group is for all the s**t.”
“All of the great groups that we’ve seen have never let their group be what they could have been,” Quavo added. “Ain’t nothing gonna stop us but us and God. Everything else is in this water.”
After the revelation, fans started speculating that if the two went their way and the trio have broken up. A Twitter user then shared that Offset and his wife Cardi B have unfollowed the two on Instagram after the announcement of their new joint single. “I should of did a screen recording of the pages I unfollowed cause now I’m trying to follow back and don’t remember the @ names,” wrote Cardi B after backlash from the fans.
All three members of the trio came together last year for the third instalment of their “CULTURE” album series. The album was dropped mid-2021 and debuted at #2 on Billboard 200 with 130,000 album-equivalent units.

“Dear Take, The pain you have left me with is unbearable,” Offset said after Takeoff’s death. My “heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words. I’ve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it’s reality, and reality feels like a nightmare,” he wrote on his IG with some pictures.”
Offset continued, “Every time you would see me, you didn’t give me a dap you gave me a hug. I wish I could hug you one last time. Laugh one last time. Smoke one last time. Perform one last time. I know someone with a soul like yours is in heaven now. I hope you can see how much we love you and miss you. You have left a hole in my heart that will never be filled.”
“Give me strength, give your brothers strength, give your family strength. Even though I know you will always be with us, throw me a lil sign or a beautiful dream. I love you forever, 4L and after.”
