Meanwhile, Rae Sremmurd’s new project “Sremm 4 Life” failed to get a top 10 spot on the charts, as it debuted at number 31 moving over 18k units in the first week. The duo’s previous triple-disc 2018’s project “SR3MM” debuted at number six on the US Billboard 200, with 57,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.
Morgan Wallen continues to dominate the charts with his latest album “One Thing At A Time” as it stays at the top with 167,000 sales this week.
Before the album dropped, there were online discussions suggesting that the brothers had lost their relevance due to the lengthy gap between albums. Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi responded to these rumors while promoting Sremm 4 Life, addressing claims that they no longer appeal to the TikTok generation.
“‘They act like we’re dead or something,” Swae Lee told Complex. “Our music already went up on TikTok, still. We dropped that sh-t before TikTok was even made and it’s still going on TikTok.’”
