NBA Youngboy is reportedly charging over a quarter-million dollars for guest appearances.
NBA Youngboy had been releasing only solo material for quite some time, but now the Baton Rouge rapper is finally up for guest features. According to Youngboy’s manager Alex Junnier, if you want a guest verse from the 22-year-old hitmaker, you will have to spend over a quarter-million dollars. Alex Junnier shared the feature price for his clients NBA Youngboy, Alabama rapper NoCap and Louisiana artist BWay Yungy.
A feature from NBA Youngboy will cost you $300,000, while NoCap and Bway cost $25,000 and $3,500 respectively. DJ Akademiks shared the story of Alex Junnier, and wrote: “this is a discounted Christmas Price.”
The Controversial rapper DaBaby also cost the same price as NBA Youngboy, while other trending rappers Polo G and Moneybagg Yo ask around $85,000-100,000 for guest features.
YoungBoy is among the highest-paid rappers in the industry thanks to a variety of sources of income, including the price for his lyrics. According to Billboard, the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, musician made $11.9 million in 2020 despite his continuing legal dispute. He made $10 million from streaming, the majority of his income, and another $1.7 million from publishing. Prior to last year’s epidemic, the From the Bayou rapper made $126,000 in sales and $129,000 on the road.
YoungBoy appeared on just three recordings in 2021: “Hood Melody” with DDG and OG Parker, “Everything Different” with Rod Wave off Kawhi Leonard’s Culture Jam album, and his show-stealing verse on Tyler, The Creator’s “WusYaName” from Tyler, The Creator’s album. IF YOU GET LOST, PLEASE CALL ME.
NBA Youngboy recently teamed up with Birdman for a new project “From The Bayou“, and dropped “Emo Rockstar” earlier this week.
Additionally, he contributed to the tracks “WusYaName,” “Hood Melody,” and “Everything Different” off Tyler, The Creator’s outstanding album, Call Me If You Get Lost. YB received his first-ever Grammys nomination for the Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 2022 Grammy Awards for his work on the later song.
