This is the lowest first-week number for the Nas & Hit-Boy album series, and the first part moved 47,000 album-equivalent units, while last year’s part two charted at number 3 on the US charts with 56,000 total album-equivalent units within its first week of release. However, Nas now ties with JAY-Z as the rapper with the most top 10 albums in Billboard 200 history, 16 each.

Nas’s lyricism and Hit-production Boy’s prowess teamed up once more for KDIII, which delivered fans 17 tunes to savour. Nas poked fun of Pete Rock in them, addressed his dispute with Jay-Z, and gave us a lot more material for thought. Notably, KDIII featured no features, a choice Hit-Boy discussed in a Rap Life Review interview on Apple Music. “Honestly, it was once we got deeper into the album because I definitely was thinking and conceptualizing on who could be a part of it,” he remarked. “I even pulled up some features that I had in my computer from different artists and we tried stuff, but nothing really connected on a level of what we was doing solo. This is, I believe, Nas’ first album ever with no features so that’s an ill thing in itself.”
After falling behind last week, Taylor Swift made her return to the top spot on Billboard 200. “Midnights” moved 204,000 equivalent album units in its fourth week to dethrone Drake and 21 Savage’s new project “Her Loss” from #1. The collab album moved 170,000 equivalent units in its second week.
