George Floyd’s Family Considers Lawsuit against Kanye West over Drink Champs comments.
Kanye West is once again facing flak after the rapper made controversial comments about George Floyd. During his latest visit to DJ EFN & N.O.R.E’s “Drink Champs” podcast, Kanye West stated that Floyd actually died from a Fentanyl overdose and not by Police.
“They hit (Floyd) with the fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that,” Ye said about Floyd. “They said he screamed for his mama; mama was his girlfriend. It’s in the documentary.”

Now after the criticism on social media, N.O.R.E. issued an apology to George Floyd’s family. “I just wanna be honest, I support freedom of speech,” N.O.R.E. said. “I support anybody, you know, not being censored. But I do not support anybody being hurt. I did not realize that the George Floyd statements on my show was so hurtful. And you gotta realize, it was the first five minutes of the show When he walked in, he told my producer, he said that if he’ll stop filming, he’ll walk out.”
“I apologize to the George Floyd family,” he continued. “I apologize to anybody that was hurt by Kanye West’s comments.”
N.O.R.E. was questioned about Drink Champs’ decision to conduct the conversation at all at the 3:40 minute in the video below in light of Ye’s most recent antisemitic remarks. In his reply, N.O.R.E. criticised Ye’s recent statements while focusing on how Ye has handled him in one-on-one encounters in the past. “I don’t support none of it,” he said. “I don’t support the George Floyd comments, I don’t support the antisemitic [comments]. That’s all I have is Jewish friends, all I have is Black friends. That’s it.”
