Megan Thee Stallion dropped a quarter million dollars for feature from Future.
This week, Megan Thee Stallion dropped her surprise new album “Traumazine”, her second studio effort and a follow-up to 2020’s “Good News“. Among 18 tracks on the project, it also featured a Future-assisted single “Pressurelicious”, for which she paid a quarter million dollars.
The WAP hitmaker sat down with Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk for an interview on Power 106 LA, where she also performed a LA Leakers freestyle over Warren G & Nate Dogg’s “Regulate”. In the interview, Stallion share details of how she got to have a feature from the Freebandz boss.
“So how I went about it was, okay, somebody figure out what Future feature price,” she said at the 3:48 mark. “I was just asking what’s his feature price…and they was like okay 250. He wants 250K.”
“I was like, ‘Okay, bet.’ Somebody go pull 250,000 out of the bank… and go drop it off to Future and tell him I need the verse before he leaves [Miami].”
She then delivered the money in cash to Future in Miami, and received multiple verses from the rapper, which she called “The Future Experience”.
“He gave me the whole Future experience,” she explained. “When I got his verses, I was like, ‘I’ve got to write some new verses because I’ve got to make this make sense.’”
