Lupe Fiasco calls Ja Rule his favourite rapper.
Ja Rule recently criticised Billboard and Vibe for their top 50 greatest rappers list on rap’s 50th anniversary, which didn’t feature the Queens rapper. However, Ja Rule is number one in the books of Lupe Fiasco, who showed some love for “Put It On Me” hitmaker.
“This all I need right here,” said Lupe during a recent meeting with Rule. “Listen, I grew up on Ja Rule, you feel me? I don’t give a f**k what no motherf**ker say. They asked me who’s my favorite rapper, who I was listening to when I was coming up… Give me Venni, Vetti, Vecci, ni**a. Give me motherf**kin’ Pain Is Love over anything. I don’t give a f**k. Give me [Rule] 3:36 over anything. F**k these ni**as, feel me? I’m bumpin’ Ja ni**a, f**k you.”
The MC for Food and Liquor mentioned that he frequently listened to Ja’s music “repeatedly.” Ja then expressed his gratitude for the love and complimented Lupe’s exceptional lyrical abilities. “You know what? It’s so ill to hear that from a lyricists lyricist,” Rule said.
