Lizzo stole the show at Cardi B’s birthday party.
Earlier this week, it was a Cardi B as the “WAP” artist celebrated her 29th birthday on October 11 in Los Angeles. The night was a dancehall theme party, which had many high profile guests including Megan Thee Stallion, Quavo, Snoop Dogg, Teyana Taylor, Normani and more. At the party, Offset surprised Cardi B with an incredible gift, which is a private mansion in the Dominican Republic.
Even though the night was for Cardi B, but the one who stole the show was Lizzo. She showed up at a party with a see-through crystal dress, which is trending all over social media. “I wore Jimmy Choos for the record,” she wrote. Lizzo posted several pictures on her profile, and also treated fans with a Twer*ing clip of her in the same dress.
On Monday, Cardi celebrated her 29th birthday with a dancehall-themed party. Offset subsequently posted photographs from the opulent celebration to Instagram, captioning them, “Happy birthday Mrs. Cephus.” “I love you so much I value you so much u giving me 2 great life’s great energy you have my back when anybody goes against me since the day I met you I loved you!!” Offset — born Kiari Kendrell Cephus — added. “Great mother hard working hustler you never settle you’re funny and encouraging Thank God for you 🙏🏾.”

Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee also reacted to Lizzo’s picture with some heart emojis.
But, as is customary with Lizzo, she seemed unconcerned by the criticism – at least not this time. The 33-year-old chanteuse had an out-of-character meltdown in August after receiving critical remarks in the aftermath of the “Rumors” video.
Lizzo went live from her toilet and admitted she was dealing with internet bullying, claiming at the time, “Sometimes I feel like the world just don’t love me back. It’s like it doesn’t matter how much positive energy you put into the world, you’re still going to have people who have something mean to say about you.”

In recent events, Lizzo was called out for using the ableist slur in her song Grrrls. The pop diva, known for her songs advocating compassion and self-love, was using a demeaning word for spastic diplegia, a kind of cerebral palsy, in the first verse.
The song was almost instantly condemned by fans and disabilities advocacy, with hundreds of thousands of tweets and TikToks detailing the history and hurtful nature of the phrase being shared and liked.
Hey @lizzo my disability Cerebral Palsy is literally classified as Spastic Diplegia (where spasticity refers to unending painful tightness in my legs) your new song makes me pretty angry + sad. ‘Spaz’ doesn’t mean freaked out or crazy. It’s an ableist slur. It’s 2022. Do better.

I’m disappointed in @lizzo for using the word “sp@z” in her new song “Grrrls”. There’s no excuse for using an ableist insult in a song in 2022. As someone who champions women, plus size people and others whom society treats poorly, Lizzo preaches inclusivity and should do better.

Hey @lizzo please remove the word “spaz” from your new song because it’s a slur and really offensive to the disabled community
From a disappointed fan 😔💔

Lizzo issued a written full apology. “It has been brought to my attention that there is a harmful word in my new song Grrrls. Let me make one thing clear: I never want to promote derogatory language,” she wrote. “As a fat black woman in America, I have had many hurtful words used against me so I understand the power words can have (whether intentionally, or in my case, unintentionally.)”
