Lil Wayne shares the “Sorry 4 the Wait” mixtape on DSPs.
Earlier this week, Lil Wayne announced that he will release his “Sorry 4 the Wait” mixtape on streaming platforms soon, and now the project finally arrived. The project was originally dropped back in 2011. It was Lil Wayne’s first project after releasing from prison, as he spent around 8 months behind bars over weapon possession.
The tape was a compilation of remixes over tracks from Beyonce, Big Sean, Adele, Drake, Meek Mill, and more. Now the mixtape arrives on streaming services with 4 new tracks titled “Cameras” with Allan Cubas, “Lil Romeo”, “Anti-Hero” with Lil Tecca, and “Bleu Snappin”. The project originally had 12 tracks in total, now comes with a pack of 16 records.
Lil Wayne also assisted on Cordae’s new project “From A Bird’s Eye View“.
The highlights of Wayne’s mixtape run from 2004 to 2007 are still unavailable for streaming, which is a pity given that iconic efforts like 2004’s The Prefix, 2005’s The Suffix, 2006’s Dedication 2 and 2007’s Da Drought 3 are still on the way.
Luckily, Wayne’s long-time manager Cortez Bryant confirmed in September 2020 during an interview with Fake Shore Drive’s Andrew Barber that the rapper is working on putting his complete mixtape library to streaming services.
