Lil Nas X vs Tony Hawk, a feud which started “Nah He Tweakin” meme.
If you’re a regular user of the Social Media platform Instagram, then you saw the comments “Nah he tweakin,” spammed all over the popular pages. Many people thought they’re being posted by some kind of bots, but it’s actually the real users spamming the same thing everywhere. Even the Instagram platform couldn’t understand what it is all about, as they address the issue after some people were having issues in loading.
“Yeah we tweakin, but only a little bit. We’re aware that some people are having issues loading their comments (we’re fixing that) and that some are seeing a bunch of comments saying “nah he tweakin” (what is that?),” they wrote.

The term “tweakin” means “the act of not making sense or saying stupid sh*t,” according to Urban Dictionary. But that still doesn’t explain the reason behind the trend.
We finally found out the origin of the viral spam trend, and as usual, there’s a popular celebrity behind it, who’s none other than the rapper Lil Nas X. Back in March, Lil Nas released a pair of unofficial Nike Shoes called “SATAN”. The shoes created huge controversy after it’s revealed that the shoes contained a drop of real human blood in the soles. The sneakers were released through a collab between Lil Nas X and New York Based art collective MSCHF and were made using Nike Air Max 97s.
Now recently, the legendary Skateboarder Tony Hawk announced that he’s releasing 500 limited edition skateboards, with the paint made from his blood. A couple of days ago, Lil Nas called out the hypocrisy of people as he addressed the announcement in a tweet. “now that tony hawk has released skateboards with his blood painted on them, and there was no public outrage, are y’all ready to admit y’all were never actually upset over the blood in the shoes? and maybe u were mad for some other reason?,” he wrote.
Lil Nas X, who is black and homosexual, appears to be insinuating that he has been treated differently from Hawk, who is white and heterosexual. The double standard is difficult to overlook. Some have said that the outrage over Lil Nas’ shoes reeked of homophobia and moral panic, similar to the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s and 1990s.
The Hawk Blood Decks will undoubtedly become collector’s goods if Lil Nas’ Satan Shoes are any indication. Despite the fact that MSCHF was compelled to recall the sneakers, very few buyers appear to have taken advantage of the offer, and pairs of the sneakers are selling for far more than their US$1,018 retail price — for example, this pair is selling for US$1,900 on eBay.

Then the IG page @rap shared the news about the Skateboards and asks their followers, “Y’all rockin with it?“. Lil Nas X himself responded to the fans and wrote “Nah he tweakin” which started the whole viral spam trend on Instagram.
