The nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards have been announced, and legendary Killer Mike honored with three nods.
The Run The Jewels icon received three nominations as a lead artist for his new album “Michael.” The rapper’s latest album received a nomination for Best Rap Album, while “Scientists & Engineers” featuring Andre 3000, Future & Eryn Allen Kane is nominated for Best Rap Song and Rap Performance.
“To my Mother, Denise, and Grandparents: I know y’all are with our ancestors, talking to the Lord and lobbying for me! Miss Bettie, you and Willie Burke are gonna be proud. I promise,” he wrote on his social media. “Denise aka Mommy, thank you for allowing and encouraging my love of art and music. You especially encouraged my love of Hip Hop. Lord willing, I’m gonna bring home some trophies as a tribute to y’all, baby!”
“Thank you to all the creatives and professionals who have worked tirelessly to make this moment a reality,” he wrote before tagging all the creatives involved in the making of the album. “I am humbled, honored, and grateful.”
