Killer Mike Acknowledge Shoutout From Eminem & Lil Wayne

Killer Mike shows appreciation for Eminem & Lil Wayne Shoutout.

Killer Mike appeared on the new episode of Young Money Radio for a conversation with the host Lil Wayne. On the show, he talks about the importance of voting, Run the Jewels, and the whole current situation of America. Killer Mike also thanked Eminem and Lil Wayne for the shoutout they gave him in their conversation on Episode 3 of Young Money Radio.

Killer Mike dropped their fourth album, RTJ4, on June 3 at 12 p.m. ET, amidst widespread protests against the very systems that Killer Mike and El-P rap about pulling down. The album is available for free download and streaming on the group’s website.

Overloud, bass-heavy beats, Killer Mike’s Run the Jewels have always positioned themselves lyrically as system-breaking superheroes, rapping about opposing and dismantling injustice. The group has also mastered the art of timing its releases to coincide with peak interest in the message. Run the Jewels’ second and third albums were released in the aftermath of the Ferguson, Missouri, protests in 2014 and the 2016 presidential election, respectively; now, the decision to release RTJ4 early comes as Americans protest police brutality in the wake of the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor — and the thousands of other Black Americans killed by cops since 2014.

El-P, a Brooklyn-based rapper and producer, and Killer Mike, a rapper from Atlanta, form the American hip hop super-duo Run the Jewels, often known as RTJ. They released their highly praised self-titled debut studio album as a free download in 2013, followed by Run the Jewels 2 (2014), Run the Jewels 3 (2016), and RTJ4 (2020), all of which were also distributed for free and earned comparable acclaim.
