It’s significant to focus on in order for the North Carolina legend to be legally diamond-certified, the RIAA must first approve the achievement on its own terms before handing him his diamond plaque.
Only 78 songs have ever received diamond certification, and J. Cole is hoping to add No. 79 to that famous list. Cardi B‘s “I Like It,” Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass,” Juice WRLD’s “Lucid Dreams,” The Weeknd‘s “Blinding Lights,” and Roddy Ricch’s “The Box” are among the most recent Hip Hop tracks to join the club.
“Lose Yourself,” “Love The Way You Lie (feat. Rihanna),” and “Not Afraid” are Eminem’s three Diamond hits. He also has two Diamond albums, “The Marshall Mathers LP” and “The Eminem Show,” which are still out of reach for other rappers.
“No Role Modelz” reached at No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100, the highest of any song on 2014 Forest Hills Drive, and the track’s most current RIAA certification was 6x-platinum in August 2002.
The Phoenix Beats-produced album achieved history in early April when “No Role Modelz” became the longest-charting song in Spotify history, spending a total of 2,274 days on the US Spotify chart.
