Genius shares the list of most viewed rap artists of 2022.
2022 is about to end and popular lyrics platform Genius has revealed the most viewed rappers of the year. Kendrick Lamar, who made his return with his first album in five years “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers“, topped the list with more than 19.5M pageviews in 2022.
“The Heart Pt. 5” is a noteworthy track from Kendrick Lamar’s latest album, “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.” This song has received a great deal of attention on the lyrics website Genius and serves as the beginning of the “Mr. Morale” era. “The Heart Pt. 5” explores the circles of trauma within the Black community, with the line “In the land where hurt people hurt more people.” The music video for the song also employs deepfake tech to represent Kendrick Lamar as several prominent individuals, including O.J. Simpson, Will Smith, and Kanye West. “The Heart Pt. 5” is sure to be praised for its thought-provoking topics and unique music video.
The second on the list is Kanye West, who was viewed 17.5 million times this year. The late Juice WRLD continue to be among the popular artist on the platform, as he earned 14.9 page views this year. Drake, who released two albums this year, grabs the number fourth with 14.2 million pageviews.
Eminem, who last released an album over 2 years ago, made it to the top five with 13.5 million pageviews this year. Even though the Detroit rapper didn’t release a project, he was too active this year. He kicked off the year with a performance at the NFL Super Bowl Halftime show, and was just recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Overall, Taylor Swift was the most-viewed artist on the platform, earning over 33 million pageviews in 2022.
