Former NYC Mayor Tells Eminem To Leave The Country For Taking A Knee At Super Bowl

Rudy Giuliani responds to Eminem taking a knee at the Super Bowl show.

This Sunday, Eminem was part of a historic performance at the Super Bowl halftime show with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige and surprise guest 50 Cent. The rapper also made headlines for taking a knee at the end of his performance, which got a lot of attention after the event. The Detroit Rapper followed Colin Kaepernick to take the knee in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement. However, some think that it was in respect to 2Pac as Dr. Dre plays “I ain’t mad at cha” on the piano after Shady’s performance.

Rudy Giuliani, a former Mayor of New York City, made an appearance on 77 WABC Radio news & talk show, where he gives his views on Eminem’s decision to take a knee. “Let’s get right to Eminem taking a knee,” he says. “Why doesn’t he go to another country? I mean, go take a knee someplace else. You know how many cops were defending him and protecting him at that game yesterday? I mean crime is way out of control in Los Angeles.”

He continues, “He thinks that all happened because everybody loves Eminem? The simple reality is the NFL has made a mockery out of law enforcement, particularly with its support for the cop-killing Black Lives Matter.” The politician then went to talk about letting Snoop Dogg headline the event even after his threatening lyrics for the police enforcement.

There were reports that NFL asked Eminem not to take a knee, but Dr. Dre confirmed that they didn’t have any problem with that. “Em taking a knee that was Em doing that on his own, and there was no problem with that,” he said in an interview with TMZ.
