Fat Joe, Wu-Tang Clan, Remy Ma and more delivered legendary performances at BET Hip-Hop Awards 2022.
The 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards aired earlier tonight, and it featured a celebratory performance of Loud Records’ 30th anniversary which was founded in 1991. “Loud Records was a dream, a passion that became a reality,” said founder Steve Rifkind.
Dead Prez, the duo of stic.man and M-1 kicked off the celebration with “Hip-Hop” live performance. Joey Badass then joined Havoc for a Mobb Deep’s hits “Shook Ones Pt. 2” and “Quiet Storm (Remix)”. M.O.P., the duo of East Coast rappers Billy Danze and Lil’ Fame then hit the stage for a performance of “Ante Up”, along with Remy Ma.
Remy then paid homage to Big Pun with a performance of “Still Not A Player”, who was then joined by Fat Joe for “Lean Back”. David Banner and Lil Flip then followed it up with “Like A Pimp” performance, and then Project Pat and Three 6 Mafia joined forces for “Chickenhead” and “Stay Fly”.

Wu-Tang Clan members RZA, Method Man, Raekwon, and Inspectah Deck then closed out the performance with classics likes “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing ta F’ Wit,” “Method Man,” and “C.R.E.A.M.”
Rifkind established Loud Records in 1991. He signed musicians like Wu-Tang Clan at that time and put out their first three classic albums. Later, Rifkind also signed the late Big Pun, Mobb Deep, The Beatnuts, M.O.P., Tha Alkaholiks, Pete Rock, Lil’ Flip, Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat, Xzibit, Twista, Dead Prez, and other musicians.
