Eminem slams the Supreme Court of the US for overturning Roe v Wade.
Last week, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) overturned Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that had provided a constitutional right to abortion. Roe v. Wade was a landmark decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in which the Court ruled that the Constitution of the United States generally protects a pregnant woman’s liberty to choose to have an abortion.
The Hip-Hop fraternity has been slamming the SCOTUS decision in the past few days, and now Eminem has also come forward with a tweet. “As a father it pisses me off that women have fewer rights 2day than just a few days ago… we r f**kin goin bckwards,” the father of three daughters wrote. “Here’s how 2 help in Michigan.”
Kendrick Lamar, who performed at Glastonbury Festival, also voice his support for Women after the recent Abortion ruling by Supreme Court. “They judge you, they judged Christ. Godspeed for women’s rights,” he said on stage.
A spectacular performance featuring songs from across Kendrick Lamar’s celebrated discography—from the fan-favorite choruses of good kid, m.A.A.d city to the strong funk of To Pimp a Butterfly to the stadium-status blockbusters from his Pulitzer Prize–winning DAMN—was topped off with an explosive conclusion.
At the festival, Megan Thee Stallion also led a chant of “my body, my motherf**king choice”.
