Eminem Earns First #1 Hit On Billboard's Hot Christian Songs With Kanye West's Use This Gospel Remix

Eminem and Kanye West’s “Use This Gospel” Remix tops the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart.

Eminem continues earning new milestones as he now receives his first ever #1 hit on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart this week. Kanye West and Eminem’s “Use This Gospel” remix, which was produced by Dr. Dre & The ICU, appeared as part of DJ Khaled’s new album “GOD DID“. This is also Khaled’s first ever hit on Billboard Hot Christian Songs, while Ye earned his 5th.

The rapper’s schedule prevented West and Khaled from finishing the tracks they had already produced for God Did. As a “last-minute magic present,” Khaled asked West if he would put the remix on God Did since it was thematically appropriate for the album. West appreciated the concept, according to Khaled, who said, “You know Ye don’t love no idea.” West was certain that he had to ask Dr. Dre and Eminem for their approval before he could officially announce the addition.

Khaled has included Eminem as a featured artist on his version of the song, bringing back together the two rappers who have not worked together since their collaboration on “Forever” back in 2009, this song also featured Drake and Lil Wayne.

West revealed that Dr. Dre has created a remix of the song, and it features Eminem as a guest rapper. West had previously announced a collaborative remix album named Jesus Is King Part II which he and Dr. Dre were working on back in November 2019. West shared on a social media post that he has always held Eminem in high regard and admiration.

On this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart, Khaled debuted 10 songs, including “Use This Gospel” remix which earned the number 49 spot. The new album GOD DID topped the Billboard 200 chart, with 107,500 equivalent units in the first week, with 9,500 from pure sales and 129.82 million on-demand streams.

In a recent interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Khaled talks about how he got the song from Kanye West, Eminem and Dr. Dre on his album.
