Eminem’s new album “The Death of Slim Shady” dropping in Summer 2024.
Eminem finally kicked off his new era as he announced his 12th studio album titled “The Death Of Slim Shady (Coupe De Grace)”. The announcement was made during the NFL Draft earlier today featuring the Detroit rapper himself.
At the end of the NFL Draft, a 30-second ad trailer was released to announce the new album, in a crime documentary style. The promo features Eminem’s early looks, before hinting at the end of Slim Shady. “Who Killed Slim Shady?” a voiceover asked. The trailer also features 50 Cent, who described Slim Shady as a “psychopath.” The title seems to be hinting at the end of Eminem’s Slim Shady alter ego.

This is the first time since 2017’s “Revival” that Eminem started a proper album era, as he released two album in 2018 and 2020 as surprise projects. It’s been four years since Eminem last dropped an album when he dropped his eleventh studio effort “Music To Be Murdered By” in 2020, and a deluxe side b edition in the same year.
“Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year,” announced Dr. Dre last month. “And I actually talked to him and he said it was okay for me to make that announcement right here on this show. I’ve got songs on it and it’s fire. I’m actually going hear the entire album for the first time tomorrow and he holds his music close to his chest so I haven’t hear everything, I haven’t even heard everything complete that I’ve done but I’m going to hear it and he’s putting out an album this year.”
