XXL lists members for first-ever XXL Awards Board, including 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Eminem & More.
The nominees for XXL Awards 2022 will be revealed in January, and before that, the magazine platform has unveiled a list of Hip-Hop names that will decide the winners for the event. The members include rap artists, interviewers, label founders, and more.
157 artists, entrepreneurs, podcast hosts, and others are on the board, including 2 Chainz, Sway Calloway, Big Boy, Big Tigger, Bun B, Charlamagne Tha God, Steve-O, Mike Dean, Ebro Darden, DJ Khalid, DJ Drama, DJ Envy, DJ Whoo Kid, E-40, Fat Joe, Gucci Mane, TDE’s Punch, Jeezy, Juicy J, Just Blaze, Lil’ Kim, Angie Martinez, Missy Elliott.
“50 Cent began his professional career as a rapper over 25 years ago, earning a Grammy Award and selling over 30 million records worldwide along the way. In 2003, he founded G-Unit Records, and serves as CEO of G-Unit Film & TV. The powerhouse business mogul is the executive producer of TV shows like Power, BMF and many, many more,” XXL wrote about 50 Cent.
“The former Pharcyde bodyguard and nationally syndicated radio personality hosted his morning show, Big Boy’s Neighborhood, at Power 106 from 1997 to 2015, when he moved to Real 92.3 and iHeartMedia. The 2015 National Radio Hall of Fame inductee has locked in interviews with Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Playboi Carti and more,” they said about radio personality Big Boy.
“An elite MC with a penchant for lyrical acrobatics, compelling rhymes and outrageous bars, Eminem has set the diamond standard for hip-hop excellence throughout the last 25 years. The Shady Records cofounder’s career achievements include 15 Grammy Awards, 11 albums—10 at No. 1— and being one of the best-selling artists of all time,” they wrote about Eminem. The list also includes Eminem’s long time manager Paul Rosenberg and Publicist Dennis Dennehy.
