Drake releases statement on the deaths at Astroworld Festival 2021.
Last week, Drake surprised the crowd in Houston as Travis Scott brought him out in front of the crowd of more than 50,000 at Astroworld Festival 2021. But the celebration turned into tragedy as after the event, it was revealed that 8 people lost their lives during the crowd surge at the fest. Travis Scott already showed grief in his released statement, and also announced that he will cover the funeral of all people that died. La Flame also revealed that he will refund all the people that attended the show.
Now the Toronto rapper also issues an official statement through his Instagram. “I’ve spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy,” wrote Drake. “I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself. My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering. I will continue to pray for all of them, and will be of service in any way I can. May God be with you all.”

The duo of Drake and Travis Scott already received a lawsuit against them from an injured fan who attended the Astroworld Fest.
Members of the Kardashian-Jenner family expressed their sympathies earlier today. Scott and Kylie Jenner have a three-year-old daughter together, and the pair is presently expecting their second child. Over the weekend, the beauty entrepreneur and reality star attended the Houston event with their daughter, Stormi, to show support for the rapper. Earlier today, Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner also released statements over the devastating tragedy. “Absolutely heartbroken for the lives who were lost and anyone who was hurt at Astroworld. Just like all of you, our family is in shock by the tragedy,” wrote Kim. “We are keeping all of the victims, families and loved ones impacted in our prayers for healing — as well as Travis who we know cares so much about his fans and is truly devastated.”
Wrote Kylie Jenner: “Travis and I are broken and devastated. My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured or affected in any way by yesterday’s events. And also for Travis who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community.”
