Drake Laughs At Reports That He Only Made $50 Million in 2021

Drake cheekily denies claims that he only made $50million in 2021.

Zack O’Malley Greenburg, a former journalist for Forbes recently, who used to put together the top paid artists list for the platform, has recently revealed the list of top hip hop earners in 2021. He shares the list on his blog, which shows that Jay-Z was last year’s Hip-Hop cash king, as he reportedly made an enormous $470 million in 2021. Next on the list was Kanye West with $250 million, followed by Diddy with $75 on number 3.

The number fourth on the list was Toronto rap star Drake, as it showed that the rapper made $50 million. But now it looks like the list isn’t quite accurate and has some errors, as Drizzy himself seemingly denies it on social media. The rapper reacts to the boardroom’s post about his 2021’s earnings with a laughing emoji.

Champagne Papi has long been one of the most opulent guys in hip-hop, and he’s not about to relinquish that distinction anytime soon, laughing in the face of anyone who says he only made $50 million last year. Despite not disclosing his real profits in 2021, Drake clearly wants people to know he made more, laughing along the way.

This allegation follows the rapper’s expressed interest in purchasing a popular Jamaican patty eatery in Toronto, expressing his love for the restaurant before departing for a luxury trip in Turks and Caicos, which he recorded on social media.

Following the release of Certified Lover Boy and another year of great collaborations with the likes of Nike with his Nocta brand and Virginia Black whiskey, Drake appears to be chuckling at how Greenburg underestimated him in his projections. Greenburg ranked Drizzy as the 49th highest-paid celebrity in 2020, with an estimated $49 million.

Drake is even teaming up with Stake to give away all of his wins to supporters during an event. He’s already had some practice in that area after gifting $86,000 to a Twitch streamer, who then lost it all on a virtual gambling site.
