Drake was honoured at iHeart Radio Music Awards 2022.
Drake continues his monumental run as he’s now honoured with another accolade at iHeart Radio Music Awards 2022. The annual festival took place at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles earlier tonight and was hosted by legendary LL Cool J. While the Toronto rap star was not available at the event, he was given the Hip-Hop Artist of the Year trophy.

According to a news statement, the 52-year-old Marry Me actress will be recognised with the annual accolade, which celebrates “her impact on pop culture, longevity, and enduring relevance as a touring and radio force.”
The rapper beat the likes of Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion, Moneybagg Yo and Pop Smoke to grab the award. Drizzy is having a successful run on the charts and streaming platforms since his last year’s sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy. The project featured music from Future, Young Thug, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Travis Scott, Jay-Z, Kid Cudi and more. The album had the highest first-week sales for a rap album last year, with 613,000 album-equivalent units on the Billboard 200.
Drake’s “Way 2 Sexy” with Future & Young Thug was also nominated for Hip-Hop Song of the Year, but the category was won by late Pop Smoke’s “What You Know Bout Love”.
