Drake and 21 Savage are to drop the joint project “Her Loss” next week.
For a surprise, Drake and 21 Savage have announced that they are joining forces on a new joint album titled “Her Loss”. The announcement was made with the release of Drake and 21 Savage’s new music video “Jimmy Cooks”, which was dropped on the occasion of Savage’s 30th birthday.
“HER LOSS – ALBUM BY DRAKE AND 21 SAVAGE – OCTOBER 28, 2022,” it reads at the end of the visual.

After their initial collaboration, 21 has continued to acknowledge Drake’s achievements in hip-hop. Drake, he claimed, was the closest thing he had to a mentor, even though he admitted to GQ that he doesn’t particularly look up to anyone in the industry. “Drake just a genuine-a*s good-hearted person,” he said in 2018. “He did a lot of sh*t he didn’t have to do. He do a lot of sh*t for up-and-coming rappers, period. I don’t think he get his respect for that. Every f**kin’ year, he pull a new artist up. Ain’t no other artist on his level do that sh*t.”
The project will be a follow-up to Drizzy’s recent album “Honestly, Nevermind“, and it will be his second collab album after “What A Time To Be Alive” with Future in 2015. Savage hasn’t dropped a solo project since 2018’s “I Am > I Was”, while he teamed up with Metro Boomin in 2020 for “Savage Mode II“.
Drake and 21 Savage’s album “Her Loss” debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 chart with 404,000 album-equivalent units, including 12,000 pure album sales. This resulted in it replacing Taylor Swift’s “Midnights” from the number one position. The album received a total of 513.56 million streams and marked Drake’s 12th and 21 Savage’s 3rd number-one album in the US.
