The Super Bowl Halftime show 2022 was given Emmy for an outstanding variety special.

The 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held earlier tonight, which was special for hip-hop. The 2022 NFL Super Bowl halftime was awarded an outstanding variety special, a show that featured performances from Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent. Collectively, the artists have been awarded 43 Grammys and between them have 22 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200.

The halftime show was also nominated in other categories like Outstanding Music Direction, Sound Mixing, Production Design and Directing.

The NFL Super Bowl halftime which took place in February this year, featured the performance of tracks like “The Next Episode”, “California Love”, “In Da Club”, “Family Affair”, “No More Drama”, “Lose Yourself”, “M.a.a.D City”, “Alright” and “Still D.R.E.” at the end.

The Detroit rapper is now closer to iconic EGOT status, which includes the winner of an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award. “One T to go…” wrote his manager Paul Rosenberg. Eminem is 15 times Grammy Award and an Academy Award IN 2003 for the original song “Lose Yourself” from his film “8 Mile”.

During his award speech, executive producer Jesse Collins claimed“I am nervous, man. [JAY-Z] is watching,” “First on behalf of the fellow executive producers and our performers, we would like to thank the television academy for this incredible honor. It’s amazing. This is the first time this show has ever won this award and it’s so incredible to be a part of this moment. It took an incredible team to pull this together and I thank you all.”

The Beatles, Adele, and Lizzo were also among the winners earlier tonight.
