Daylyt talks about the origin of Hip-Hop.
Recently, the California rapper Daylyt did a live stream where he talks about the origin of Hip-Hop and why current rappers and some OGs are not real Hip-Hop. “Last night it hit me, I told myself, I’m wrong, I’m not a Hip-Hop Rapper, I’m far from Hip-Hop, I’m actually wrong, Hopsin is wrong, Lupe is wrong, Joyner Lucas is wrong, everybody is wrong, none of us are Hip-Hop,” says Daylyt.
He continues, “Hip-Hop started from beatboxing and break dancing, It started when Ni**as not even saying words. Hip-Hop started off, with banging beats and rapper saying the minimum amount of words.”
Then he talks about Lupe Fiasco not being a Hip-Hop rapper, “Chief Keef is more Hip-Hop than Lupe Fiasco will ever be if you really go by the standards of Hip-Hop.”
Then he says Raking is one of the people who destroyed Hip-Hop. “Rakim was the one who changed the game, he’s one of the people who changed the direction of Hip-Hop. F**k that, he ain’t the God of Hip-Hop, that ni**a f**ked Hip-Hop up, Hip-Hop.”

He also talked about why Nas and Eminem are farthest away from real Hip-Hop. “Nas and Eminem, if you think about it, Nas and Eminem are far away from Hip-Hop. If you think about it, Eminem is farthest away from Hip-Hop, Y’all consider Eminem the best, No ni**a, Eminem is the furthest away from Hip-Hop it is possibly gonna get. The more words you put in your songs, the more further away you gonna get from the real Hip-Hop.”
“[Gucci Mane said Eminem’s not the king of Hip-Hop] and he’s not lying. Eminem is not the king of rap. He’s most definitely a king of wordplay. There is a lot of people who don’t relate to Eminem. A lot, like, a lot. The super urban community don’t bump Eminem. Black community likes Eminem and I say this because I’m Eminem fan. I’m speaking as fan’s perspective so in the comments don’t judge me as an artist hating another artist. We like Eminem for his wordplay. We like that he’s able to put words together like no other I’ll give him that. As far as he puts words together and makes things rhyme, syllables and stuff like that, he’s the best. One of the bests. But as far as actual content matters, no. Whenever Eminem tries to go very content-based the world doesn’t f**k with it. Because he already built his world on what they like from him.”
Daylyt recently conducted a live broadcast in which he discussed why he enjoys Eminem’s early work and the legendary Oscar-winning song “Lose Yourself.”What Eminem does with his rhyme pattern is so amazing bro,” says Daylyt. “The passion he puts in his verse is so fire. Prime Em, this ni**a’s fire bro. I’m listening to this song [Lose Yourself] and I’m thinking of the setup of the record. The Setup of the record is, His palms are sweaty, his knees weak, arms are heavy. As a battle rapper and a person that has stepped into any battle, or any sport, this song spoke to you.”
