Conway The Machine Reveals He's No Longer Signed To Griselda & Shady Records It's Free Agency Right Now

Conway The Machine is a free agent right now.

Conway The Machine is all set to drop his new album “God Don’t Make Mistakes” next week, and it will be his first and final album through the Shady Records label. The rapper previously revealed that he will leave the Eminem helmed label after the release, but now he states that not only Shady but also in no contract with Griselda.

Ahead of the album release, the rapper made a visit to the Bootleg Kev Podcast, where he was asked if he will ever leave Griselda Record. “I’m contractually done now,” he said. “Yeah Drumwork, I mean as of right now.”

The Machine went on to say that he wants to shop around for a record deal, comparing his situation as an independent to NBA Champion Giannis Antetokounmpo, who got a $293 million supermax contract in 2020. “Yeah, like sitting right here right now, I’m not on a contract with Griselda, Shady none of that sh*t no more,” he added. “It’s free agency right now you heard. I need that supermax man, I need that Giannis [NBA Champion Giannis Antetokounmpo] bag.” “Griselda that’s mine,” he said on Griselda being part of his life. “I put that sh*t on my back. Me and West [Westside Gunn] took that, we built that.”

Conway The Machine went on to say that Griselda would always be a location where he feels at home. “Griselda that’s mine,” he said in part. “I put that sh*t on my back. Me and bro [Westside Gunn] built that.”

“We haven’t really talked about that who knows, I mean that’s all of our intentions,” he said on extension at the label. “It’s definite mine. But I’m just saying as of right now like it’s the end like you know. The paperwork I signed has been fulfilled it’s been fulfilled. It was all in together, like my Shady paperwork and Griselda paperwork, everything’s been fulfilled. And now it’s time to sit back at the round table and figure out the future is and what it got in store for me.”

Meanwhile, the Buffalo rapper dropped a new mixtape “Greetings EarthLings” as something to hold on to until his new album hits the DSPs.

Conway The Machine has been creating Drumwork Music Group since last year, and revealed Buffalo-bred rapper Jae Skeese as the first signee to join his label in January 2021.

While it appears that Conway The Machine is moving on from his time with Griselda, his friendship with label veterans Benny The Butcher and Westside Gunn remains undiminished, as he recently collaborated with the duo on his single “John Woo Flick” in support of his upcoming God Don’t Make Mistakes album.

It’s the first clip involving the three major members of the Buffalo gang since their ‘WWCD’ clip for ‘Cruiser Weight Coke’ back in 2020, and it features fellow Griselda brothers Benny The Butcher and Westside Gunn.
The record welcomes listeners inside Conway The Machine’s world, which is loaded with devils and internal conflict, difficulties, struggles, and tragedies, the trauma of being shot in the brain, and the Facial Palsy condition he’s experienced since, but it’s also packed of life and passion celebrations.

“It was tough opening up doors that I haven’t opened up in awhile. This is my story and sharing it all with the world is different for me, but I was happy to do it,” he shared in a statement. “I know fans will love it.”
