Chloe Bailey unveils “In Pieces” tracklist.
Following the release of the title song and “How Does It Feel” with Chris Brown, Chloe Bailey has unveiled the tracklist for her forthcoming album “In Pieces”. The project is her solo debut studio album, which will drop through Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records on 31st March.
“My sister went to London to film her movie for seven or eight months, and it was so hard being without her. That is when I started creating my project. I found my confidence — like, “OK, you can do this now.” I always have my sister’s support, and she will always have mine, no matter what we do together or individually,” she said previously.
The project will have 14 tracks, with additional guest appearances from Missy Elliott on “Told Ya” and Future on “Cheatback”.
“I saw a porcelain doll 3 years ago, holding her heart just like this and from then, I said this will be my album cover,” she said about the artwork. “IN PIECES is for the ones who behind closed doors are breaking and don’t know how much more they can take,” she continued. “I hope this project brings healing to those who listen, as it’s been completely therapeutic for me and I can’t wait to share my heart with you, literally.”
Last month, the 24-year-old singer faced significant criticism for collaborating with Chris Brown, given his past of perpetrating violence against women. “We’re failing Black women in music if they feel like they have to collaborate with a known abuser in order to chart,” an individual tweeted that the music industry is not supporting Black women if they believe they must work with a known abuser to achieve chart success. The tweet went on to suggest various other male R&B singers that the artist could have collaborated with, such as Bryson Tiller, Lucky Daye, and Brent Faiyaz.
