Eminem chats live with fans on Youtube before the “Godzilla” premiere.
Eminem recently released the music video for his Juice WRLD assisted platinum hit “Godzilla” which was directed by Cole Bennett. Before premiering the official video, Eminem took to Youtube to have a live chat with fans on the Lyrical Lemonade youtube channel. He answered the questions like the album he enjoyed making the most, making Fack 2, did he watch UFC and some more in his hilarious way.
Juice Wrld’s appearance on the single was his first posthumous release since his death on December 8, 2019, after a sudden seizure caused by a narcotics overdose. Eminem’s third verse on the song is the quickest rap verse he’s ever done, clocking in at 10.65 syllables per second, or 300 words in 30 seconds. Eminem broke his own records by rapping 10.3 syllables per second in his appearance on Nicki Minaj and Labrinth’s 2018 single “Majesty” and 9.6 syllables per second in his 2013 song “Rap God.”
Eminem wowed listeners with his lightning-quick delivery on “Godzilla,” and now the song’s accompanying music video is a visual feast to match. The video opens with Eminem taking swigs from a bottle of whiskey and staggering through a grocery aisle while being pursued by two genuine Godzillas, directed by Lyrical Lemonade founder Cole Bennett. The rapper brandishes a missile launcher, vomits a variety of Legos, breathes fire, and is besieged in a room full of flying knives, and things only get worse from there. Eminem’s previous works, such as The Slim Shady LP and 8 Mile, are referenced in the “Godzilla” video. Eminem’s finest early-2000s videos, including “Without Me” and “Just Lose It,” include boxer Mike Tyson and longtime producer, Dr. Dre, adding to the off-the-wall irreverence.
