Beyonce shares Artwork for new album “act i RENAISSANCE”.
Earlier this month, Beyonce made a surprise album announcement for the project titled “act i RENAISSANCE“. This will be her first solo studio effort since 2016’s “Lemonade“, and will drop on July 29th. She then kicked off the campaign with a brand new single called “Break My Soul”
The 40 year old has now unveiled the official artwork for the album, which is now trending on social media. “Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are,” she wrote in the caption.

This will be Beyonce’s seventh studio album, and first since 2016’s “Lemonade“. The 12-track album featured guest appearances from James Blake, Kendrick Lamar, the Weeknd and more. The project topped US Billboard 200 as it moved 653,000 with additional album-equivalent units, including 485,000 copies in its first week of sales. She also won Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Music Video at 59th Annual Grammy Awards in 2017.
Fans have hypothesised that the image is supposed to pay tribute to John Collier’s 19th-century painting “Lady Godiva” because of the “Renaissance” title. Some have also compared it to an image of Bianca Jagger on horseback taken at Studio 54.
With her husband Jay-Z, she released “Everything Is Love” in 2018; in April 2019, she released “Homecoming,” an album of her electrifying 2018 Coachella headline performance; and that summer, she released “The Lion King: The Gift,” a companion album to the Disney blockbuster that includes many new Beyoncé songs (a deluxe edition of that album featuring three additional tracks was released a year later)
