Barack Obama is back with his annual Summer Playlist.
Every year, former US President Barack Obama comes up with a couple of music lists, including the Summer Playlist and his favourite songs. The 60-year-old today unveiled his Summer Playlist of 2022.
The 44-track playlist includes some of today’s hits, as well as some old classics. The list features Beyonce’s comeback single “Break My Soul“, Kendrick Lamar’s “Die Hard”, Harry Styles’ “Music for a Sushi Restaurant”, Rakim’s “When I B on Tha Mic”, Drake & Rihanna’s “Too Good”, Vince Staples and Mustard’s “Magic” and more.
“Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies—it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together. Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?,” he wrote.

Obama presented his selection shortly after learning that his narration of the Netflix docuseries Our Great National Parks had earned him a nomination for the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards.
In addition to Obama, there were four other contenders in the category of outstanding narrator, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for Black Patriots: Heroes of the Civil War, David Attenborough for The Mating Game: In Plain Sight, and W. Kamau Bell for Serengeti II and Lupita Nyong’o for We Need to Talk About Cosby.
