Ab-Soul to drop his new album next month.
Ab-Soul is finally making his return with a new project as the rapper announced his fifth studio album titled “Herbert”, which is taken from his real name Herbert Anthony Stevens IV. The announcement comes with the release of his new song “Gang’Nem” with Houston rapper Fres$H and go-to producer Sounwave.
The TDE rapper revealed that the project will release next month in December. “HERBERT. December 16th. #TDE,” he wrote.

This will be his first album in 6 years, following up 2016’s “Do What Thou Wilt.” Soul’s previous effort featured the likes of Mac Miller, Rapsody, Bas, Schoolboy Q, SZA and more. The album charted at #34 on US Billboard 200 and the number 9 spot on US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

The new album is said to “deliberately intimate portrait of the man behind Ab-Soul going back to his foundation, as noted by the name of the record, leaving the conspiracy theories he’s known for behind while emphasising his musicality.” a press statement from TDE.
According to the statement, “After suffering through a series of unspeakable tragedies, Stevens completed the album as a changed man with a new sense of purpose.”
