50 Cent on Lil Wayne and Birdman beef… Mentions Eminem.
In a recent Interview of G-Unit with MTV, 50 Cent spoke on the current ongoing beef situation of Lil Wayne & Birdman. He said that he was surprised to see the problems between them because of their Father-Son Relationship and said that he believes that they will be able to work out their problems between them and he advises other people not to involve in their issues.
50 Cent left Interscope Records in 2014 to strike a deal with an independent distributor, and he’s happy with his decision. Fif and G-new Unit’s EP, The Beast is G-Unit, will be released on March 3rd.
“I enjoy the freedom of being able to set the date, and to know it’s coming out on that date, and everybody else can catch up,” Fif told MTV News on Thursday (Feb. 19).
The contrast with Lil Wayne’s current label situation is dramatic when he could not release Tha Carter V and called himself a Cash Money Records “prisoner.” “I’m surprised to see Wayne going through that because of the relationship between him and Baby,” 50 admitted. But that feud won’t last forever, he doesn’t believe.
In a 2007 interview with Funkmaster Flex, 50 Cent was asked about Lil Wayne and why he feels Wayne is being requested to participate on the songs and remixes of other musicians. Weezy makes the songs fantastic with his rhymes, but he is a w**e for collaborating with anyone, according to 50: “A wh**e sleeps with whoever will pay ’em. So we gotta call him a wh** if he’ll just go with whoever pay him to be on their records. He makes those records good. It’s just that he works with anybody. You gotta kinda make it an event.”
“I’m surprised to see Wayne going through that because of the relationship between him and Baby,” he said. “I think it’ll work itself out. I hate when personal things become public ’cause everyone [speculates] on things they don’t really know. I just know that they had a father-son relationship and that could easily be something that they communicate between the two of them and resolve instead of having everybody else involved. Be careful the things that you say about the Wayne and Baby situation. Baby will forgive Wayne for the things that he’s saying and Wayne will forgive Baby for the things he’s saying, but they may not forgive you. The relationship has so much depth to it that you really shouldn’t even speak on it. Because they’re public people we don’t think about it but that’s like me being in the middle of you and your mom having an argument. Then you and your mom make up for whatever reasons but I can’t come over your mother’s house no more ’cause of the stuff I said.”
