50 Cent celebrates Spotify Milestone with Eminem, Friends Forever.
One of the best and fan-favorite 50 Cent and Eminem’s collaboration “Patiently Waiting” which appeared on Fif’s record-breaking album “Get Rich or Die Tryin” in 2003, hit a new milestone of Spotify.
The track has reached 100 million streaming on the platform and it was celebrated by 50 Cent through Instagram. He shared a picture with Eminem where he called him the best rapper in the world. 50 wrote, “this combination will always work, 🤷🏽♂️I think it has something to do with EM being the best rapper in the world but 🤔i’m not so bad. LOL #friendsforever.”
50 Cent and Eminem reveal the story behind their epic single “Patiently Waiting,” a series dedicated to “celebrating the origin and cultural impact of music’s greatest songs through the eyes of the creators as well as the peer who bore witness to the birth of a classic.”
Recently, “In Da Club” is the second Rap/Hip Hop music video from the pre-YouTube era to reach 1 billion views on YouTube, with Eminem‘s “Without Me” being the first. 50 Cent joins a select club of artists from the era, including Nirvana, Queen, Guns N’ Roses, Whitney Houston, The Cranberries, and a-ha, who have all done the same.
Get Rich or Die Tryin’ debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, selling 872,000 copies in its first week. The album sold an extra 822,000 copies in its second week. By the end of the year, it had sold 12 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling album of 2003. It is still 50 Cent’s best-selling album, with certified sales of 9 million copies in the United States, and the country’s ninth best-selling hip hop album.
