Even though it was never released into a single, the song succeeded in topping international charts on several occasions and, as of June 11th, 2022, it was Eminem’s second-most played song on Spotify, with over 1.35 billion streams.
It’s a huge achievement, considering the song was dropped 20 years ago way back in 2002 with “The Eminem Show” album. Last year, the track surpassed 1 Billion streams on Spotify and became the most streamed non-single in the history of the music platform. In 2018, it was certified quintuple-platinum by the RIAA for digital sales of 5,000,000 copies in the US.

“‘Til I Collapse” was initially released on Eminem’s 2002 album The Eminem Show, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and became his second straight diamond-selling album in the United States, following The Marshall Mathers LP in 2000. Despite the fact that it was never released as a single, “‘Till I Collapse” has a long shelf life and has charted internationally. It first featured in a commercial for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in 2009, and has since been utilised in a number of important sporting events, notably Shane Mosley’s entrance music in his 2010 fight against Floyd Mayweather.
Till I Collapse was also featured in HBO’s series “De La Hoya/Pacquiao 24/7” in 2008 and used in an commercial for the game “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” in 2009.
In the song, Eminem revealed a list of rappers that he puts ahead of him. “I got a list, here’s the order of my list that it’s in / It goes: Reggie, Jay-Z, 2Pac and Biggie / Andre from OutKast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas, and then me / But in this industry I’m the cause of a lot of envy,” he raps.
“‘Til I collapse I’m spillin’ these raps long as you feel ’em / ‘Til the day that I drop you’ll never say that I’m not killin’ ’em / ‘Cause when I am not, then I’ma stop pennin’ ’em / And I am not hip-hop and I’m just not Eminem / Subliminal thoughts, when I’ma stop sendin’ ’em? / Women are caught in webs, spin ’em and hock venom,” he rapped in his first verse.
It is not the only old Eminem record that is still achieving landmarks. The Detroit rapper “Curtain Call: The Hits” album was one of the best-selling projects of 2021 after moving over 673,000 copies in the year. Recently, Eminem’s “The Slim Shady LP” surpassed 1 billion Spotify streams, which helped break the record for most albums with 1 Billion streams on the platform.
‘Till I Collapse,’ by Eminem, is also the most popular exercise music in the world. The rapper’s song Lose Yourself from the 8 Mile music score comes in second, followed by two Kanye West tracks – Stronger and Power – and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ Can’t Hold Us (with Ray Dalton).
“‘Till I Collapse’ was certified 5x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2018 for sales of more than 5 million copies. Some of Eminem’s biggest Billboard Hot 100 successes, such as “The Real Slim Shady,” “Without Me,” “Crack a Bottle,” and “Rap God,” have sold more copies than this album.
