Tee Grizzley talks about his feud with Eminem & Royce da 5’9″.
In a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, Royce da 5’9″ revealed that Eminem wanted to collaborate with fellow Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley before Tee dissed Em on the track called “No Talkin“. After that Tee also responded to Royce through Instagram and lashed out at him for telling Marshall not to work with Grizzley.
When Royce da 5’9″ said he encouraged Eminem to wait to collaborate with the budding Detroit rapper, Tee Grizzley expressed his displeasure, but Tee later clarified that it was all a mistake. When the “Music to Be Murdered By” rapper brought up the notion of collaborating with Grizzley, Royce claims he told Eminem to wait. They waited because they didn’t want Eminem to “receive credit” for bringing Grizzley on board.
Now in a new interview with TMZ, Tee Grizzley revealed that it is nothing but a big misunderstanding. “Shout out to Eminem, Shout out to Royce.” said Grizzley, “I talked to Royce the other day. It was really just a big misunderstanding, you feel me? We definitely going to come with 8 Mile 2. Feel Me. Nah, I’m just talking shit. But we definitely have some music coming through. Royce got a project on the way, I got a project on the way. Em like the big dog in the city.”
Tee also said that he has yet to have a direct conversation with Eminem, “He’s not the type of guy you can just say anything to him.” Tee Grizzley continued and said that “it’s all love” with Eminem even if they never work together. “Even if we never do, it’s all love. At the end of the day, the way I came out, I don’t need nobody. But when you get to a certain level you do kind of need people to shoot up even higher. I hope (a collab) can get done, but if not, it’s still all love though.”
Grizzley hasn’t had a chance to talk with Eminem directly just yet, and even if they don’t get to hop on a track together “it’s all love.” When he addressed the situation on Instagram, he said he wanted to “squash this sh*t,” which is assumedly what prompted Royce to reach out to him. “I f**k wit y’all man it’s all love,” Tee Grizzley wrote.
Royce said that when Eminem brought up working with Grizzley, he advised the Music to Be Murdered By rapper to hold off. The delay was necessary because they didn’t want Grizzley to “gain credit” for being added by Eminem.
Grizzley claimed he didn’t understand why Royce told Eminem not to do the collaboration. “Bro, what type of sh*t is that? You told this ni**a wait,” he said. “If anything that’ll help both of us. It gon’ make him look like a big homie in the city and it’s going to give me some more pull in this industry.”
