DaBaby visits Hot 97 for new interview & Funk Flex freestyle.
DaBaby continues the promo run for his latest album “Baby On Baby 2” as he made a visit to Hot 97. The rapper sat down for a new interview on Ebro In Morning Show where he talks about “Boogeyman”, his past relationship with DaniLeigh, new music and more. Dababy also delivered some raps for the new Funk Flex freestyle.
“Like f**k security ’cause I’mma rock out if they ride or not / I’m Curtis Jackson when he riding and survived them shots / I’m Nipsey Hussle at the shopping center the day he checked the rat / I’m the boy at home watching this that’s probably scared to rap,” he raps.
DaBaby’s furious freestyle was released in response to the fact that his most recent album, Baby On Baby 2, sold less compared to any of his other works, despite the “BOP” rapper’s claims that he was being blackballed.
Only 16,000 units of the release were sold in its first week. Baby’s first solo album, BLAME IT ON BABY, released in 2020, opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and sold 124,000 album-equivalent units, according to Billboard. Nevertheless, DaBaby didn’t worry about the low volume and praised his sales.
