50 cent talks about the possibility of a joint project with Eminem.
DJ Whoo Kid made a visit to G-Unit’s office in NYC to celebrate the launch of Season 5 of Power. In the interview, 50 Cent talks about what his relationship with Dr. Dre is currently like, Jay Z methodically messing up Nas’ album release quietly, his views on Pusha T/Drake beef, XXXTentacion’s murder, why artists 6ix9ine and Chief Keef look up to him and much.
Since signing the New York rapper to Shady Records with Dr. Dre in 2002, 50 Cent and Eminem have remained close buddies. Since then, they’ve worked together on a number of joints, including ‘Patiently Waiting,’ ‘Gatman & Robin,’ and ‘Psycho,’ among others. Longtime fans have been clamoring for the duo to release a collaborative album for years, but will it ever happen? 50 recently spoke about the topic in an interview with DJ Whoo Kid. At the 18-minute mark, the G-Unit CEO quipped that they could do an album at any time because 7 tracks is now the standard for a full-length album.
In the end, 50 Cent talks about his good friend Eminem and also joked that since 7 songs project can be a full-length album now, they could do a joint project at any time. On a serious note, 50 Cent said that almost all his past collaborations were with Shady Records’ boss, so maybe he could do a record with him soon.
Before that, 50 discussed XXXTentacion’s death, the recent trend of young rappers getting face tattoos, the Drake-Pusha T fight, and more.
Fif was gloating on Instagram about his collaboration with Roddy Ricch, which would be published on the posthumous Pop Smoke album on July 3, when a fan inquired, “Will Eminem be on Pop Smoke record?” That’s a reasonable issue given how hard Fif worked on bringing in stars for this project and the fact that Marshall fans are always eager to hear new music from him.
50 Cent clearly does not have a great response, but he also does not want to disappoint anyone. So he ventured into the realm of possibility: “Part 2 maybe.” “I need to contact him.”
