Usher says it’s all love with Justin Bieber following no appearance at Super Bowl.
Usher finally headlined the Super Bowl Halftime show 2024 this past week, as he performed at a star-studded Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The show featured his collaborators like Alicia Keys, will.i.am, Ludacris & Lil Jon. The fans were upset with no appearance from Canadian pop star Justin Bieber, who was discovered by Usher and has a long history with the ‘Yeah’ hitmaker.
Usher now made an appearance on The Breakfast Club, where he was asked about Justin Bieber’s absence. “It didn’t work out with Justin,” he said. “I honor and recognize that my brother, I think that it might’ve been the fact that he’s just wanting to tell a different story right now. And I understand that.”
Usher then stated that Bieber will headline his own Super Bowl halftime show as he ‘deserves it’. “But, we did have a brief conversation,” he added. “We’re gonna do something else in the future. No love lost or anything like that. It’s a lot of pressure for the Super Bowl, obviously.”

In an interview with TMZ, Lil Jon was also asked about Justin Bieber not appearing at the Super Bowl. “That’s a lot of rehearsal, a lot of responsibility, a lot of time and a lot of eyeballs and I don’t know if he was ready to do all that,” Jon states. “But he definitely was there supporting Usher and they are really good friends and he definitely was supporting him regardless.”
