Tony Yayo ranks Eminem in his top 5 of all time.
Tony Yayo, a rapper, hypeman, G-Unit CEO, and longtime friend of 50 Cent and Lloyd Banks, has admired Eminem’s “Renegade” verse.
The Queens rapper got down with VladTV to discuss previous experiences, both good and terrible. Tony recalls getting together with his pals to listen to new music. He can recall the first Lloyd Banks rap he heard, as well as the champagne brand he and 50 Cent were sipping to commemorate Eminem’s million-dollar signing. Eminem had already sold millions of copies of “The Marshall Mathers LP” by the time he arrived with the agreement for Tony to meet, Vlad pointed out. But that isn’t why Tony Yayo regards Em in such great respect:
Yes, but I’ll say for me, it was one verse on “Renegade” with him and Jay-Z. He showed his rapping capability for the hood. Before I even knew Eminem or anything, “Renegade” made me a fan of Eminem. And I always say that.
