Snoop Dogg reveals the release date for his Eminem collaboration.
Snoop Dogg had been teasing a collaboration with Eminem for some time now, and now he finally shared some official details about the joint. During the promo run for his upcoming new album “Algorithm”, Snoop Dogg recently sat down with The Rolling Stone Now Podcast where he talks about ending his misunderstandings with the Detroit Rapper which started last year.
“We love each other,” says Snoop Dogg. “If you got siblings you know that you have misunderstandings and disagreements. That s**t happens. But the beauty of it all is that If I’m wrong I know how to call Marshall and apologize. I was wrong bro, do you forgive me? No problem, let’s roll on. I feel like it was necessary for me to not let it drag on but to put some resolution to it because I was the reason why it became what it was and I felt like I could be a reason to stop it. For the sake of the family and for the sake of my love for Eminem and Dre and what we have built, that was the only thing to do. I probably called him four-five months ago. He was reaching out to me and I reached back and we made it happen. You gotta understand We really love each other. We don’t want the public to spin on something that’s not even that serious. We truly respect each other.”
Then the Long Beach legend revealed that the song with Eminem is titled “From Detroit To LBC”, and it will appear on his Mount Westmore album in January. “There is Snoop Dogg and Eminem song on my Westmore album. It is called ‘From Detroit to the LBC’,” he reveals. “That’s my Mount Westmore album that is coming out in January and Eminem and Snoop single is featured on there. And that motherf**ker slapped. That s**t is huh… It was very challenging for me. Eminem really f**king shot at me. He shot his shot and as a rapper that’s what you want when you get a feature, to have to work you f**king a** off. He is going that hard because he knows I’m going to match him on the same level and that’s what it is when you make records with people that you love. It’s competitive but for the right reason. To bring the best out of each other.”
This week on November 19th, Snoop Dogg will drop his nineteenth studio album “Algorithm“, which will feature guest appearances from Usher, Ty Dolla Sign, October London, Wiz Khalifa, Redman, Method Man, Mary J. Blige and more. He recently released his new single “Murder Music” with Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, Benny The Butcher.
Did Snoop Dogg and Eminem have a song together? Well, it’s out now. Eminem and Snoop Dogg have released a new joint track titled “From the D 2 the LBC.” The song will be released tonight alongside a largely animated music video made by James Larese, in which the two rappers periodically change into Bored Ape-style avatars.
“This probably should have happened a while ago, Eminem, said to begin the hip young song, which was released Friday and represents the pair’s first collaboration in more than two decades.
