Sada Baby hasn’t heard the final version of “Friday Night Cypher”.
Detroit’s Sada Baby recently sat down with HipHopDX where he talks about his recent Big Sean collaboration on “Friday Night Cypher” which features other Detroit artists including Eminem and Royce Da 5’9″. In the interview, he revealed that he still hasn’t heard the full version because he didn’t know who else was contributing to it.
“He (Big Sean) played me the album, that was crazy, That sh*t was amazing, And he played the cypher,” says Sada Baby. “At the time that was only Tee, Kash Doll, Payroll, Drego and Cash Kidd on there. At that time he wasn’t offering me to get on the song, he just let me hear it. I liked it. Immediately I felt like I could f**k him up on that bit*h ‘cause he said some bullsh*t. But I was cool because he let me hear his album. Before it came out. So I didn’t give a f**k if he was gonna clue me on it or not. A month or two got passed and he hit me up a couple of weeks before ‘Detroit 2’ was coming out and asked me to put a verse on it. He sent me a couple of parts and a beat, like, pick your part and do what you want to. I picked the part of the beat I want to go, knocked the shit out, and sent it back. And then a couple of more people were added after me. Not saying that I don’t know If I wouldn’t have did it if I heard the other verses first. I think he is smart enough to do my sh*t first, before the people he added.”
The last people added to the songs were Eminem and Royce Da 5’9″ so he’s probably not listening to it now. Around a year ago, Sada Baby said that Eminem is not even a Top 5 Detroit Rapper. Watch his interview below.
