Symbolyc One says he’s still sending Eminem beats.
Producer Symbolyc One recently sat down with Hip-Hop N More for an interview to celebrate 10 years of Kanye West’s classic ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy‘ album. In the interview, he also reveals that he’s still sending Eminem beats, who has been asking for sessions. He has worked with the Detroit rapper on many records, including ‘Bad Guy‘, ‘Normal‘, ‘Nice Guy‘, as well as Royce’s ‘Caterpillar‘ and 50 Cent’s ‘My Life‘.
Hip-Hop N More: What other collaborations are you working on now? I remember last time you spoke you had done some work with Eminem and J. Cole. What are you cooking up now?
Symbolyc One: Actually, quite a bit. I had a Meek Mill song drop yesterday so definitely check that, it’s called ‘Pain Away’. I produced it with my guy Epikh Pro, it’s featuring Lil Durk. I’ve definitely been working with J. Cole a lot. I don’t know what he’s doing as far as releasing, kinda just in the dark with a lot of stuff. I’m still sending Em stuff. He’s been asking for sessions, stems. He’s very secretive (laughs).
He rose to prominence in 2010 after Kanye West invited him to Hawaii to work on his landmark album, My Dark Twisted Fantasy. Symbolyc One, sometimes known as S1, was the primary mind behind “Power,” which became the lp’s ultimate lead single. When Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy won the Grammy for Best Rap Album two years later, S1 received his first award. He earned his second Grammy the following year for his contribution to Eminem’s “Bad Guy,” the album’s first single.
Over a Month ago, Symbolyc also celebrated the Detroit Rapper’s birthday and joked about dropping some unreleased S1 X Marshall Songs.
